Bangkok pharmacies raided for selling illegal drugs to get students high
Two Bangkok pharmacies in Jatujak and Ramkhamhaeng were raided yesterday for illegally selling drugs to students in the areas.
The medicine is classified as Class 4 prohibited. An informant had told police that school children and university students were getting hold of the drugs that would then be mixed with cough mixture to get high.
Police found a large stash of the restricted drugs – used to treat mental conditions – at two shops of the “Ban Ya” chain in Soi Seua Yai Uthit, Jatujak and Soi Ramkhamhaeng 53, Wang Thong Luang district.
Two women in charge at the shops were arrested: Phimnaraporn Phuthachart, 65, and Kanokwan Khamyan, 29. They were charged with illegally selling Class 4 drugs along with offences regarding the registration of such medication.
