British expat killed in Koh Samui

At around 11-30 last night (November 26th) a British expat was killed crossing the road in Bangrak.

expat killed in Koh SamuiBrian Goddard, who had lived in Koh Samui for more than 15 years, had been enjoying an evening at the popular pub quiz at the Premier Sports Bar in Bangrak. After leaving the bar he was stuck by a motorcycle as he crossed the road to get to his car. Emergency services found the man, in his 70’s, unconscious in the road. He was pronounced dead later on in the hospital. The driver of the motorbike 31 year old Atthapol Ekchat was also injured in the collision and was taken to hospital.

The police are investigating the incident.

This is the third British death in Samui in a week including one Brit who lost his life in a jet ski accident.
