British tourist found dead in Phangan sent eerie messages prior to his death

Andrew Apperley, 38, the British tourist who was found dead on Koh Phangan sent a final eerie message about a “scary guy in a face mask” and people wanting to kill him shortly before he vanished.
The 38 year old Brit was reported missing to the local authorities four days after he failed to return to his hotel in Samui after travelling to Phangan to enjoy the Full Moon Party on Feb 12.
In the early hours of the 13th of Feb he sent alarming messages via Whats’sApp telling his friend he was in danger. He sent one picture, that could have been the last one of him alive, to a friend with a note that read “OMG had a mad night all the guys wanting(sic)kill me, scary guy with the face mask, after mushroom, what the f**k, he told another friend on Facebook “ I’m tripping out. I think I’ve been spiked”
Mr Apperley’s body was found a week after he disappeared, his death is now being investigated by the Thai authorities.
