A complete gem of a restaurant in Nathon

If you like dining in friendly restaurants that have a superb atmosphere, provide excellent service, represent superb value for money and have fantastic sea views, and, are away from the busy streets of Koh Samui then you need to head to Nathon, go through the town, turn right at the roundabout, turn right onto the sea front, park up and head into the Lucky Restaurant.

Here you will find what has to be one of the most affordable breakfasts on the island, for just over 100 baht you can indulge your breakfast cravings with bacon, eggs, beans, fried tomato, toast and tea or coffee. If your appetite calls for something larger then shockingly a hearty plate of lukcy restaurant 1cooked to perfection ‘proper’ sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, fried potato, fried tomato, fried mushrooms, toast, orange just and tea or coffee will leave change in your pocket from 200 baht. Of course if you have your own idea about what should make the breakfast plate then all items can be ordered separately.

But it’s not just an outstanding breakfast you will find here there is also some fantastic fresh homemade thin crust pizzas with tomato, mozzarella cheese bases with a vast choice of toppings. Garlic bread, a nice selection of soups including a rather unusual but very delicious bacon and garlic soup, good selection of salads, pasta dishes, daily specials, vegetarian meals, steaks, sandwiches and baguettes, seriously delicious homemade pies, traditional British fish and chips, homemade chicken and beef burgers, steak burgers, a superb Thai menu, Indian curry and some great puddings including homemade apple pie with ice cream, fresh coffee, a great drinks list and it all comes at a seriously reasonable price.

In the days where everything seems to be going up in price and dining with an ocean view comes at premium it is great to find an honest to goodness, friendly restaurant where the owners really care about what they put on your plate, the portions are far more than you would expect and the price is much less.

Some reviews from Trip Advisor

It is always a pleasure to visit Steve and Nit at Lucky Restaurant! Very nice food with some dishes you cannot find anywhere else on the island, excellent service and amazing sunset views!

lucky restaurant 2The owners, Nid & Steve, are always in a good mood and do always the best they can. Lucky Restaurant has a big card, so for sure there is something for everyone. From Breakfast, different starters, lots of main courses, pizzas (amazing), a variety of desserts till cappuccino, they have it all and the prise is more than reasonable !!! The Restaurant and the Restroom are clean and the service is top. So for sure you have to visit this place, because you will feel LUCKY during eating this great food and watching the sunset !!!

Great location right by Nathon sea front, the Green curry delicious, red curry delicious,or if you have had enough of Thai food, their breakfast is perfect, and the pizza, even though its NOT an italian restaurant, is the best on the island!

First things first, they had REAL sausages, baked beans, Tea and HP sauce, as an english couple travelling through asia its impossible to locate such things in one place! Its not just the English delicacies though, their pizza is homemade and delicious and their Thai curries are some of the best we’ve tried and the owner is just a genuinely nice guy who clearly knows how to cater for everybody!
Not a single fault, we were in Nathon for 2 days and ate there 4 times

I have to echo the positive reviews. Among the best places to eat on this part of the island. If you want a great breakfast, this has to be the place. It certainly hit’s the spot. Freshly made beef burgers are also a favourite of mine.
If you find yourself in Nathon and need a bite to eat. This is the place
