Dead body found near Koh Tao not that of Swiss tourist reported missing

It has been announced that the dead body found off the southern island of Koh Tao yesterday is not that of Hans Peter Suter a Swiss national who went snorkeling off Siree Beach and did not return no November 8th.

Pol Col Sonthichai Arwattanakullathep, the Deputy Commander of the Surat Thani police said that forensic examinations carried out on the remains of the unknown corpse showed that the body did not belong to Suter but could well have been a European because of a tattoo found on the body that is popular among Europeans. He went on to say that the corpse showed no obvious signs of murder. The police are now waiting for the results of an autopsy to establish the cause of death. Requests have been sent to every foreign Embassy with regards to this matter.

If anybody has any information about the missing snorkeler the police would like them to contact 1555 or 081 538 9714. Anybody that has any information about any other missing persons should also not hesitate to contact the police.
