Police investigating human trafficking have announced the arrest of a man who lured a seven year old boy away from his parents in Thonburi for several days and forced him to beg on the streets for him.
It emerged that the man – Sang Klinsanthia – had been involved in 5 similar cases since 2003. In the latest case he had taken the boy from Wuthakart Soi 1 in Thonburi on June 3rd and kept him under his control for two days forcing him to beg reported tnamcot. The boy had finally managed to escape and alert a member of the public to his plight. He was later reunited with his parents and the subsequent police enquiry led to the homeless Sang.
The case came under the terms of human trafficking and was handled by officers from that section of the force. They discovered there were five other cases committed by the man who said that he would lure children away from their parents and keep them for 3-5 days until they had got enough money for him by begging. He also admitted molesting a child, police said.
