On August 9th officers from Nathon Police Station were called to a rented room in Moo 5 Maenam by owner Mr Sarid Chuayouppakarn, 49, due to concern about one of his guests Mr Chlermpong Srivajajarernchai, 38. The man, who was from Bangkok, had checked into a room several days earlier and had not been seen since.
His room was locked and on forced entry the police found the room contained a foul smell and Mr. Chlermpong was lying dead alone on the bed. The police noticed that there was no sign of forced entry to the room, the windows and doors were all locked and there were no signs of a struggle or wounds on the body, this has prompted them to believe the man, who had been dead for three to four days, had died of heart failure. The man’s personal possessions that included a mobile phone, wallet and iPad were next to him on the bed. His body has now been moved to Nathon hospital for an autopsy and an inquiry into his death.
