The Metropolitan Police are currently reforming investigation process at 30 police stations within a one-year time.
Deputy Police Commissioner General Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen visited Bang Khen police station in Bangkok to oversee the reforming of the investigation procedures – a task which all 30 Metropolitan police stations as well as other police stations nationwide are obligated to complete within a year.
He said the police stations need to set up integrated investigating teams according to the reform guidelines and set up at least three teams equipped with vehicles and instruments to respond to the reformed investigation process and evidence-collecting operations.
Police Commissioner General Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda had assigned 10 of his associates to oversee the reforming of the investigation process in each area to ensure it will be completed within one year, with progress and evaluation reports made every 15 days.
