More signatures needed to have British deaths in Thailand investigated by British Government

The mother of a British backpacker who died in Koh Tao has started a petition to demand that the British Government investigate the deaths of British citizens in Thailand. Pat Harrington lost her son Ben to what was described as a motorbike accident on Koh Tao in 2012. Like the parents of other British backpackers, who lost their lives in suspicious circumstances, she does not trust the Thai police investigation into her son’s death. Pat hopes to get 100,000 signatures on her petition in order to have it sent to parliament and says Theresa May needs to be made aware of the deaths and have them looked into. More signatures are needed for the petition to reach Theresa May and Pat, along with the families of other victims hope the public will support her quest.

In the last few years British Backpackers Nick Pearson, Christina Annesley and Luke Miller have all been found dead on the island of Koh Tao, their parents are not satisfied with the investigations. British Backpackers Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were also found murdered on the island, Belgian Elise Dellemange, Swiss Hans Peter Suter and French Dimitri Povse were also found dead, Russian Valentina Novozhyonova is still missing.
