The chief of Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok has reacted swiftly after a mouldy sausage roll was found at one of the airport’s outlets.
Unusually for stories of this nature the shop was named. It was Aimm’s Cup Corner.
This shop were renting as part of an arrangement with the King Power Suvarnabhumi Co Ltd group who had responsibility for the shop.
Airport chief Sutheerawat Suwannarat was quickly in contact with King Power to sort out the matter.
He said that the sausage roll in question had not been put in the fridge which worsened its condition. In addition the product had no manufacturing date or sell by date.
Consequently a staff member had put old and new stock together on the shelf.
Staff training was now in place to make sure there would be no repeat.
He assured the public of high standards of food and cleanliness at Bangkok’s main airport.
