Made mostly from hazelnuts, a rich and creamy nut that holds an impressive store of monounsaturated fat, vitamin E and minerals such as copper and magnesium (all of which can aid inflammation and reduce blood pressure), this recipe is also sugar-free, contains no dairy, has no nasty additives and is good for you!

1/2 cup raw hazelnuts
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 tbsp raw cacao powder
4 tbsp maple syrup
Small pinch of salt
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup of almond milk
In a high-speed blender or food processor – one that is strong enough to chop nuts – blend the nuts until they form a paste. Next, add the coconut oil and continue blending until it becomes smooth. Finally, add all the remaining ingredients and blend again until it’s creamy and spreadable.
