Officials search for illegal migrant workers in Ranong

Officials in Ranong province have joined forces to conduct a search operation for illegally employed migrant workers, after the registration of migrant laborers reached its deadline on Saturday (June 30th).

The Deputy Governor of Ranong, Pornthep Pongsri, today conducted the operation at the Seafood Market Organization’s pier in Ranong in search for any illegally employed migrant workers.

A total of 13 employers and 96 migrant workers have been inspected. They all have valid work permits and visas according to the law.

The officials on this occasion advised migrant workers to strictly adhere the Ministry of Labor’s regulations to enable them to work legally in Thailand.
