Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha got on a punt to distribute relief bags to flood victims at Khlong Chang village, Nataluang community in provincial seat district of Trang where dozens of houses have been submerged by the three-meter-high floodwater.
The floodwater has begun to subside due to no additional rain but local villagers still have to travel by boat. The Prime Minister also followed up on the well-being of people temporarily staying at a tent on the street. He delivered relief bags to the flood victims and provided them with moral support.
He then visited Sirindhorn College of Public Health, Trang, to deliver 500 sets of relief supplies to flood victims in Kantang district.
Gen Prayut said he sympathized with the flood victims and insisted that the government would try to do its best to solve the problem.
