After one of the Samui Times readers aired his concerns with regards to the safety of the Raja Ferry service between Koh Samui and Donsak, the Samui Times received this response from Raja Ferry Port PLC
On behalf of Raja Ferry Port PLC, we are writing this letter to response to the publication of a letter from reader by Samui Times website on 29th January 2018 about the concerning of safety issues and readiness of equipment on Wangnai Ferry, which travelling from Donsak Pier to Koh Samui.
We would like to thank you with sincerely to Samui Times for publishing the information. After the incident, we urged to investigate and preparation for fixing immediately. The company has to apologize for any inconvenience which happened on our Wangnai Ferry, which now preparing to maintenance and assign to be a reserve ferry that standby for operate in rush hour if we have not enough ferry to serve our customer, not assigned to be the main ferry for routine operation. The company would like to assure that the mentioned problems will not significantly impact any safety aspects of the routine operations as the company has concern for the safety of passenger as the first major priority.
Nowadays, Raja Ferry Port PLC has acquired a new ferry which has been offered for the services since the beginning of this year. Moreover, the company has a plan to add two more ferry in nearly future in order to provide comprehensive services for all routes. And also has a clearly maintenance schedules for all operated ferries, which the maintenance will take a time for implement according to scheduled plan.
The company is pleased and willing to accept any comments and feedbacks which will be taken into account for the improvement of our services in the future.
