Samui Power Cuts July 2013

Samuitimes has been informed by the PEA Call Centre of the following scheduled power cuts for Koh Samui in July.

Urgent Update 2 July:

Power in Chaweng from Tops Supermarket to Centara Hotel has been switched off as of this morning and should be returned back by 12h30 today Tuesday 2nd July.

3 July:

Power will be cut from Chaweng regent, Chaweng Villa, Tops Supermarket, Mcdonalds Chaweng to Samui Resort(Samui resort should have power) on the 3rd of July from 8am to 4pm for upgrading older equipment and to clear any branches on the lines.

5 July:

Power will be cut in the following areas:  Soi Chaweng Yai 8 , Phu Chaweng Restaurant, Chaweng Village from 9am to 4pm for essential upgrades and clearing of obstructions on the line.

9 July

Electric will be cut in the below areas for upgrading of the system today 9 July 2013 from 8am to 4 pm.

The cut will take place in the following areas:

From Junction Sraket (only Kho Pom side) to Bang Makhan junction.

Soi Kho Pom

Soi Nampok Hinlad Vanon

Soi Nampok Hinlad

Soi Government Water Department Hinlad

Soi Angthong 2

Baan Prukum

Area around Nathon Customs department (for changing poles to High Voltage capable poles)

12 July:

July 12th the PEA will be clearing branches from power lines in Plai laem Soi 7 and 8. The power will be cut on the Soi Peang Jai side only from 9am -4pm.

19 July:

Power will be cut in the following areas: Soi Marathee, Pai Laem Soi 8 only on Choeng Mon side from 9am  to 4pm for upgrading systems.

26 July:

Power will be cut in the following areas: Soi behind Wat Lamai, Soi Wat Lamai School from 9am to 4pm for essential upgrades.
