Scotsman bashed in Pattaya and corpse recovered from the ocean in Phuket over the weekend

Police are searching for two Thai men who brutally attacked a Scottish man in Pattaya in the early hours of Sunday morning. According to the police the attack took place near Soi Bua Kao and left the victim with severe injuries to his head and bruises to his entire body.

pattaya and Phuket crimeCCTV footage in the area showed the tourist and a second foreign man arguing with a Thai woman in front of a bar in Soi Bua Kao, later two Thai men arrived on the scene on a motorbike, one of the men drew out a knife and started to attack the tourist provoking a street brawl.

Pol. Cpt, Noddadoi said that part of the CCTV footage of the incident had been obscured by an umbrella, however the tourist could quite clearly be seen trying to leave the scene only to once again be assaulted and then left bleeding on the street while the two Thai men left the scene on their motorbike. He went on to say that the police are working to identify and arrest the mean who clearly show now fear of the law.

Meanwhile on Sunday morning in Phuket rescue workers recovered the body of a tan-skinned Asian man from the sea near the Sarasin Bridge that connects the island to the mainland. The body, that has not yet been identified was spotted floating naked in the water with the hands and legs tied up in what police believe is execution style.
