Sun, sand, sea and the Aromi Diversi Italian Restaurant in Bang Makham

If you love quaint restaurants right on the beach, good quality home cooked Italian food, stunning sunsets, a relaxing atmosphere and seriously good massage then you need to head to Bang Makham and take an afternoon out to enjoy all of the above at Nita and Robbie’s Aromi Diversi Italian Restaurant and massage.

aromi coverAromi Diversi opened its doors in July 2013 and very quickly became a popular haunt for those who like to dine far away from the maddening crowds. Friendly hosts Nita and Robbie have created a wonderful space in a truly stunning spot on the north shore of Koh Samui between the Four Seasons hotel and Nathon.

The restaurant offers a no frills approach to dining, and who needs frills when you have a virtually empty beach, uninterrupted views of the ocean and Koh Phangan, a beach that is kept immaculately clean and sumptuous home cooking made from only the freshest of ingredients sourced on a daily basis from around the island. And as if that is not already a winning combination, there is also a beautiful, semi alfresco massage sala where Nita will take you to an even more magical place with her healing and talented hands and massage techniques.

Whether you call in for a meal, a snack or a freshly ground cup of coffee, you will not fail to find the atmosphere here relaxing and something on the menu to suit every taste and pleasingly every budget. The menu is bursting with flavors with pasta, pizza, meat, shellfish, salads, sandwiches, aromi 1focaccia, fruit smoothies and vegetarian dishes as well as grappa, classic aperitifs and cocktails, but be warned, the portions here are enormous, the only small thing you will be served in this little haven is the bill!

The Bruschetta starters are made from homemade bread and come loaded with toppings that are designed for those with a very large appetite and are ideal for two, or even three sharing. The Bruschetta pomodoro mozzarella is an excellent and colorful choice with grilled bread rubbed with garlic and topped with e.v olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh tomato and mozzarella cheese. The pizza menu as impressive as the finished product that is lovingly prepared before being put into the pizza oven and again you will find a more generous amount of toppings. Pizza con salsiccia fresca with tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh Italian sausage, oregano, basil and e.v olive oil hits the mark, cheese lovers will not fail to be impressed by the Pizza con il gorgonzola and those who like things hot should definitely try the Pizza Aromi Diversi with tomatoe sauce, mozzarella cheese, grilled chili, spicy salami, parmigiano  cheese,  oregano, basil and olive oil.

Lasagna lovers will be blown away by the layers of homemade pasta baked with alternating layers of slow cooked Bolognaromi 5ese sauce, béchamel, parmigiano and mozzarella cheese. If Gnocchi is your thing there are four, equally delicious variations to choose from and for those spice lovers the Spatzle – small dumplings made from flour, milk and eggs, seasoned with fresh tomato, garlic, olive oil, capers and red hot spicy Thai chili simply cannot be ignored.

Of course like everything else the spaghetti, fettuccine and maccheroni is all homemade and adorned with generous toppings that are hard to choose from. However the Penne alla vodka with tomato sauce, onion, red hot spicy Thai chili, vodka, milk cream and parmigiano will certainly add some spice into your life as will the Malloreddu con salsiccia – small pasta dumplings seasoned with tomato sauce, fresh Italian sausage and more of that red hot spicy Thai chili.

Alternatives to pasta and pizza include Scalopine al vino bianco, Piccatine al limone, Piccatine alla pizzaiola, Wiener Schnizel vom Schwein and Melanzan alla parmigiana. Insalata mista, insalata  di pomodori and insalata greca, French fries and Melanzane grigliate can all be found in the vegetable and potatoes section of the menu.

If you have managed to saromi 3ave some space for dessert then you will have the painful choice of Tiramisu, Meringata and Tartufo al cioccolato  ed amaretto deal with.

Just when you think the choice are painful enough you will come across the Special menu. The general concept of the is menu is the relationship between tradition and innovation.  The choice of ingredients are an integral part of this section of the menu that contains dishes prepared with all sorts of vegetables, meats, fish, shellfish and more. Dishes include Spaghetti seasoned with cuttlefish and its ink with tomato paste, garlic and parsley, Mixed local seafood such as shrimp, clams and mussels, Spaghetti con le vongole with clams, garlic, that red hot Thai chili and parsley, Beef, fish and shrimp carpaccio and seafood soups.

It is advisable to let your food go down before you head to Nita’s massage room where you can enjoy Thai, foot, deep taromi 4issue, aroma, aloe vera, coconut cream and herbal anti cellulite massages as well as a body scrub, a herbal facial, a banana body wrap or even clean up by waxing your legs, armpits, eyebrows or bikini line or go Brazilian or maybe after that kind of feast you just want to chill out with a herbal steam that comes highly recommended.
