Teams of engineers sent to public hospitals to ensure safety and efficiency in face of thunderstorms

Deputy Health Service Support Department director general Thongchai Keeratihatthayakorn said this summer’s thunderstorms are likely to be worse than last summer, given enormous damage they have caused to houses, hospitals and other buildings.

The department has prepared emergency plans with 30 teams of engineers dispatched to provide help at public hospitals in all 77 provinces throughout the country. They will work in support of the hospitals under care of the Ministry of Public Health around the clock to ensure safety and efficiency of medical treatments.
