“The fake passports were spotted by Phuket Airport immigration officers in the early morning. They were taken to Sakoo Police Station for questioning at 5am,” he added.

Police found that the two men departed from Phuket on May 18 for Korea but Korea immigration identified the fake passports and sent them back to Phuket.

“While they were waiting to be taken to the Phuket Court after we finished questioned them, they asked us to go to the toilet and smoke in front of the Sakoo Police Station. They managed to escape from the station at 8 am.”

“Police in the area have been directed to intercept them but have so far been unsuccessful. Every police station has been informed about the men. Police believe that they were still in Phuket. Taxi drivers or anyone who sees these men should call the police or call 191,” he added.
