Residents at a Chachoengsao block of flats face an uncertain future after a “three meter long python” bit a young woman on the bottom as she was sitting on her loo on Sunday.
Named only as “Ae” she tried to grab the unwelcome visitor that then bit her on her left hand and disappeared into the depths below.
Chacherngsao snake catches arrived on the scene and cleared up the blood then investigated but could not find the snake that they said must have been about three meters in length.
They looked under the five story block and determined that the python was still there somewhere and would have access to the toilets of the flats on the first and second floors.
This did nothing to allay the fears of Ae’s neighbor Withayakorn Pornsingh, 43, who heard her screams and helped her get to hospital.
“I thought people were arguing at first,” he said. “Then she showed me the blood.
He hoped something would be done to catch the snake and prevent further episodes as it could strike again.
