Volunteers teaching citizens how to make cremation flowers

A large amount of citizens have shown an interest in the making of sandal wood flowers that are to be used in the Royal Cremation Ceremony of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Volunteers under the Ministry of Culture have set up free courses for the public to learn how to make their own cremation flowers from corn husks. The training is taking place at Jasmine Hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 23 and has received high interest. The intention of the activity is to allow mourners to unite and for all members of the public to have their own cremation flower ready for the upcoming Royal Cremation Ceremony.

Participants said they were attending the class to show their loyalty to the late King and in reverence for his great works. The free courses are to be made available to all agencies as requested.
