Over 260 migrant workers, mostly Cambodians, were rounded up and charged after a combined force of labour officials, police and soldiers raided a hotel in Bangkok last night.

migrant-workers-arrestedAll the migrant workers were attending a direct-selling seminar on food supplements hosted by a direct-sale company.

All were later detained at Yannawa police station pending further questionings.

But initial questioning of these migrant workers revealed some entered the country illegally, some have no work permits, and some work but with different job permits.

Authorities will charge them differently, based on which offences they are found guilty.

They are now detained at several police stations near Yannawa.
