63 street racers rounded up by soldiers and police

A combined force of over 100 soldiers, 191 Police patrolmen and volunteers last night rounded up 63 youths as they gathered to start street racing on the Phetchakasem road in Bang Khae.
63 motorcycles were also confiscated.
The roundup of these young motorcycle racers followed complaints from residents living in Bang Khe that these street racers frequently gathered on the Phetkasem road to start the race defying the law.
Among the 63 racers arrested, 15 are under 18-year-old.
All were detained at Lak Sing police station pending questioning of their parents as the law states that parents must be held responsible and penalised if their kids are caught for street racing.
All the young racers were today brought to the court for trial today.
