70 pigs drown after truck flips into Suphan Buri canal

A truck transporting about 100 pigs from Nakhon Pathom to Suphan Buri on Wednesday slid into a roadside canal in Suphan Buri and flipped, causing about 70 of the animals to drown.
Police said the accident happened at 12.33pm in Suphan Buri’s Don Chedi district.
The truck driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it to slide into Klong Makham Thao and flip. The truck was partially submerged, causing the drownings.
The truck driver and a worker rushed to free about 30 pigs from their cages, police said.
