A big thank you to the Samui Community from Bob who is fighting cancer

On Friday 21st of August a fundraising event was held to help raise funds to help community member Bob in his fight against cancer. The event was a great success thanks to all of those who donated gifts for the raffle and auction, the hosts Bangrak Beach Club and all of those who attended. 72,950 baht was raised at the event. After the event Bob thanked everybody via his Facebook fund raising page and has asked the Samui Times to pass on his gratitude to all those involved.Since the event Bob has had to return to Singapore where he had to undergo emergency surgery on his colon. Although there were complications during the surgery Bob is recovering well. However due to those complications the hospital bill was a lot higher than expected and Bob also now needs six additional weeks of chemo therapy that is working well in extending his life expectancy.
Bob still needs funds urgently to continue with his fight for life. If you would like to find out more about Bob and his courageous battle then please click here to visit his Facebook Page or here to donate funds.
