A huge drug haul worth about 300 million baht intercepted in Chumphon

Chumphon police seized about 100 kilogrammes of Ice worth an estimated 300 million in street price and arrested two suspects at a road block in Pathieu district on Monday.
Police manning the roadblock on the Petkasem highway in Ban Pla, Tambon Khao Chairai, stopped two cars for searches. They eventually uncovered the illicit drug hidden in specially-built compartments of the two cars.
The two drivers, identified as Songkran Omkorkun and Somchai Tachampa, were held in custody for interrogation. The two admitted that they were hired for 150,000 baht to deliver the drug from Udon Thani to customers in Phatthalung province.
The two suspects also claimed that they had made about 10 drug deliveries in about one year.
