I want to thank you on behalf of all the dogs and cats on Samui for your support.
Please do not be discouraged by the recent bombings to book your next holiday on Samui.
Where are we still totally safe today? On Samui, everything is quiet and I have heard about the explosions only by reading about it on the internet.
There are warnings about dangerous jellyfish as well, which is of course not so great. But jellyfish are normal at this season and in the impending rainy season (October to December) the waves are anyway too dangerous on almost all beaches. There are red flags hoisted everywhere. From January the jellyfish will disappeared again.
Most likely there will be large floods in Bangkok and some parts of Thailand in the rainy season that will also put tourists in fear.
Many hoteliers still hope (of course we do too), that more tourists will come to Samui in the future, because there is hardly someone who wants to fly to Turkey or to Greece on vacation right now. Many destinations in Europe are affected by the refugees on their way to Germany and also North Africa is not a sure holiday destination at the moment.
Unfortunately it is not the first time, I had to tell you about bombings, floods or other bad states but so far, it didn’t stop you from coming. I hope to be able to welcome you on Samui again soon.
Everything is quiet and peaceful here and the dogs and cats are looking forward to see you. Many dogs on the beaches and in the streets are almost exclusively fed by the tourists!
Please do not let us down!
Without your help it will not be possible to take care of the dogs and cats at the shelter and supply the many feeding stations and the dogs at the temples in the future.
I hope you enjoy reading the August letter Info!
