An opportunity for Samui residents to make a real difference to children in Cambodia

The Samui Times has recently been contacted by Cambodian Child’s Dream Organization who sent us this letter.

To Whom It Concerns.
We will be having a fundraising event on Friday 24th April 2015 at the Premiere Bar in Bangrak on Samui.
We are asking for gift certificates for items to be sold at a Live auction to raise funds for our Cambodian Projects.
In the past 7 years, we have proudly built over 950 water wells, 140 Latrines, have 1550 children in 4 schools and feed them daily with breakfast and snacks. We have a English, Library and Sports program and a Women’s Workshop. We have distributed 12,000 Anti-Trafficking brochures and touch the lives of 10,000 people in the 10 villages. We are run by volunteer staff in the USA ad UK and Singapore and we have a core staff of 28 Khmer people on the ground in Cambodia to run our programs.
I am proud that we have less than 6% of funds raised that go towards our overheads and advertising. We ensure that every dollar raised is put to good use.
We are specifically raising funds for furnishing Computers and Desks for a new English Classrooms, Computer Lab and Cultural Center. We are looking to urgently raise $7,500.
Please give generously and we can ensure that your Gift Certificates are translated into much needed funds. A dinner for 4 People ( without drinks) or a Hotel Stay or Spa Day will help change lives in Cambodia.
Best Regards,
