The Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort & Spa recently underwent a seven-month, THB170 million (US$5.4m) refurbishment, which has seen a revamp of the property’s rooms and public spaces, and the addition of a series of new amenities.

anantara bophutFollowing the upgrade, the resort now has eight room and suite categories, up from the previous six. The deluxe garden view and deluxe sea view rooms have been expanded from 32 to 36m², enabling extra bed requests, while there is also now a range of garden view and royal garden view suites, measuring 70 and 75m² respectively. The 80m² Anantara beachfront pool suites have also been upgraded and now feature 20m² private pools.

anantara bophut 1The resort’s Full Moon restaurant and Eclipse bar have also received a facelift, while a new poolside cocktail bar has been added, complete with bean bags and shisha pipes.

There is also a new ‘hospitality room’ with shower facilities and free drinks and light snacks for visitors waiting for flights, and a new purpose-built kids’ club, Baan Ling Noi. Finally, the resort’s lobby, ballroom, meeting facilities have also been updated.

“Our guests now benefit from a wider choice of luxurious accommodations and enhanced food and beverage, relaxation and event facilities, all culminating in an impressive enhancement to the overall resort experience,” said Anantara Bophut’s general manager, Manish Jha.
