Another corpse found on a Samui beach

A second corpse in a month has been found on a Koh Samui beach.
This time it was the body of a newborn infant that was revealed when waves washed away the sand on a beach in Maenam district just off the ring road at Ban Bang Por.
The boy had been dead about three or four days and was wrapped in a short sleeved sports shirt.
Suphit Chirpaka of Koh Samui police said it was likely that the boy was born to teens who were not ready to have a child.
It was not possible to say whether the child had died in the womb or was killed or died after birth.
The umbilical cord was still attached.
Police are investigating.
The corpse of a Burmese woman was found buried by a tourist on the island recently, a case believed to be murder.
