Armed men disrupt school exams after being told to keep the noise down at ordination ceremony

Seven or eight armed men attacked teachers and damaged property at a school west of Bangkok after they were told to keep the noise down at a temple ordination ceremony next door.
One student was physically assaulted as teachers ushered students out of the exam room where they were taking their M6 GAT and PAT5 finals.

The incident happened at the Mattayom Wat Singh School on Ekachai Road in Bang Khun Thian.
Some 200-300 senior pupils were sitting exams that had to be stopped.
Staff gave them an extra 30 minutes to complete but many said they could no longer concentrate after the trouble and wanted to resit.
This possibility is being discussed.
Later all those men who went in to the school gave themselves up to Bang Khun Thian police.
Charges of assault and criminal damage are expected.
