Bangkok taxi driver pays small fine despite video that clearly shows him masturbating

A taxi driver escaped an indecent exposure charge and was fined gently after a female passenger caught him masturbating and took a video as evidence.
Seriously, masturbating to female passengers has become the new obsession of Bangkok taxi drivers, they like it almost as much as overcharging foreigners.
A video clip of a taxi driver not-so-secretly pleasuring himself while on the job was posted by Facebook user Jananya Detphung Tuesday, prompting transport authorities to take action.
Jananya wrote on Facebook she hailed a cab to take her from Rama II Road to Pak Nam sub-district of Samutprakarn around 6am on Tuesday. During the car ride, she noticed his hand slipping down to his crotch to help himself while continuously looking back at her through the rearview mirror.
“I didn’t know what to do so I took a video. I got off the cab in the middle of the way,” she wrote.
She posted the video to warn other women who use taxi services to be careful for their own safety.
An update was posted by journalist Nalinee Siriked on Twitter that the taxi driver was eventually taken in, where he explained to transport officials that he wasn’t pleasuring himself, but he had an itch at his thigh although his penis was in full view in the viral video.
The taxi driver, who was not identified, presented the officials with a tablet of cyzine, medicine used for allergy treatment that you can easily get over the counter in Thailand.
He was fined THB2,000, and obviously, we’re gonna continue to gamble every time we take a cab.
