Beware phishing attempt on Line application, warn Thai police

Thai media Sanook have said that the Crime Suppression Division have warned about a fraudulent attempt to obtain personal data through the popular Line application.
A page has been sent to users saying that if updates are not made users will be unable to chat using Line.
A phone number is requested initially and a link provided to give more information.
Sanook said the warning came from the CSD without going into further details themselves.
But the message was clear – don’t respond to this attempt to hack your details.
