Big Oud unties the knot! Three Indians busted on fake marriage visas

Immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong “Big Oud” Chingduang announced the arrest of three Indians – two men and a woman – who had been living in Thailand for years on fake marriage licences.

They were named as Ajay, 40, Manoj, 35 and Ms Sandeep 26.
Ajay was arrested when he went to Khok Samrong district in Lopburi for a tenth year extension to his marriage visa. His wife Bee was not with him and his documents were found to have been falsified.
Manoj was a similar case. He was renewing for the fourth year at Huay Khwang in Bangkok. He had married Wanyee. His documents had a fake Indian embassy stamp among other falsifications.
Sandeep was married to a man called Sakchai and was arrested in Non Sang district of Nong Bualamphu in the north east. This case involved the connivance of corrupt local officials, said the Lt-Gen.
All those arrested will be deported and blacklisted and all other matters are currently awaiting court warrants.
