Bolivians’ cocaine odyssey comes to an end in Thailand

Two Bolivians who carried a stash of cocaine on airlines around the world were finally caught when their bags were searched at Suvarnabhumi airport.
The two drug couriers had taken an unusual flight – they started their journey in Sao Paulo, Brazil before continuing to Togo. From Togo they went on to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia before landing in Thailand, reports Sanook.
They were then going to finish their odyssey in Siem Reap in Cambodia.
But customs officials got suspicious after two bags were x-rayed in transfer and when they were searched five kilos of cocaine, a class two illegal drug in Thailand, was found.
A bag belonging to Mrs Nancy Caseres, 41 contained 2.6 kilos of the drug while her travelling companion Mr Enrique Reque, 39, had 2.4 kilograms.
Both were detained on Friday.
