British backpacker gang raped in Thailand

A British backpacker has reportedly been the victim of a gang rape in the Kanchanaburi district west of Bangkok. The 19 year old girl was attacked early on Tuesday morning, reports suggest the perpetrators were part of a biker gang.
News reports suggest that the woman had been having dinner at a restaurant on the Nanachart Road on Monday night, then walked alone to a shop at around 1-30am. The gang are said to have abducted her and raped her before dumping her at a market in the Mueang district, her money and personal possessions were stolen before they rode off.
Police in the area are now checking CCTV footage for clues as to who the men were behind the savage attack.
