British Backpacker missing in Thailand

Police in Dorset have launched an international investigation into the whereabouts of a 21 year old backpacker from Swanage. Grace Taylor’s family started to have grave concerns for their daughter’s wellbeing after not hearing from her since last Tuesday, they officially reported her as a missing person at 3.37am on Sunday morning. A police spokesperson said “we received a call on Sunday morning reporting a missing woman travelling alone in Thailand. The family have not been able to speak to her since Tuesday February 16th. We are now liaising with Interpol and an investigation is underway”.
The young girl’s mother, Sam Taylor posted an appeal on her Facebook and updated it saying that Grace had been in contact with her family on Monday by phone but sounded very distressed. The post read “She was very stressed and frightened saying that people were trying to hurt her and she wanted to come home. We calmed her down and booked her a flight from Krabi tonight but she never arrived at the airport and has gone missing again. We are desperately worried, all previous backpacker sightings have reported that she is disorientated and not in a good mental state. Please reach out to the backpacker community once again to look out for her and get her safe”.
The post went on to say that members of her family would be flying out to bring her home.
If anybody has any information as to where Grace is please contact the local police in Thailand or call the Dorset police on 101.
