British man caught trafficking meth from Thailand to Australia

A 45 year old British man has been arrested in Perth accused of smuggling half a kilo of methamphetamine into the country from Thailand. According to report he was targeted for baggage examination in Perth on Saturday. A medical examination revealed 106 pellets concealed within the man’s body. The drugs were examined after they had passed through his body and found to contain methamphetamine and weigh around 500 grams. The man will now face a maximum of 25 years imprisonment for his crime. Had he have been caught in Thailand he could have faced the death sentence.
