British man dies after jumping from Suvarnabhumi 2nd floor departure terminal

At 0.10am on Friday morning a 35 year old British man jumped from the 2nd floor departure terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport. According to police reports Edward Francis died on his way to hospital. On Thursday afternoon security guards had seen the man preparing to jump from gate 8 but managed to calm him down. The man said that he had no money to buy a flight home. Airport officials were trying to contact the British Embassy to locate his relatives. Airport officials said the man had left the office to smoke accompanied by security guards, however at ten to midnight he left the office once again to smoke, took ran to the barrier and jumped.
