British man shot and Thai-American killed in Jomtien this weekend

On Sunday night around 7-30pm 41 year old Briton, Mr. Andrew Alexander was shot in the face in Jomtien by an assailant who was European in appearance.
The victim was shot with a 38 caliber weapon after having a heated argument with the suspect and sustatined a single gunshot wound to his right cheek. A medical team treated him at the scene of the crime before he was transferred to Banglamung Hospital for further treatment.
Witness reports suggest that Mr. Alexander was speaking to someday on the phone at the front of the Sea Breeze Jomtien Residence in Soi Watboon and seemed distressed by the outcome of the conversation after which a European man arrived on a motorbike. After the two men argued a shot was fired and the suspect rode off on his bike in the direction of Jomtien Beach.
In a separate incident a Thai-American was killed after his motorbike slammed into a stationary pick up truck on the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien early on Saturday morning. Police and medic rushed to the scene of the accident just before 2am where a man known as David was found lying on the road about three meters away from his Honda PCX Motorbike.
Witness reports to this incident suggest that the man was driving at high speed when he lost control and hit the back of a stationary Mazda Pick-up in front of the Samui EC Tech Company.
