A British woman has been refused entry to Thailand and sent back to the UK after ripping pages out of her passport to use as toilet paper. Faye Wilson said she was drunk when she took the pages out of her passport for her and her friends to use as toilet paper. When security noticed the pages were missing she was too embarrassed to say what had happened to them, the explanation she gave, that she had simply lost them, resulted in her being sent back to Glasgow via Dubai where she will now apply for an emergency travel document in order to continue her travels. The friends she was traveling successfully entered the Kingdom. To add insult to injury the woman says she hardly remembers the night the pages were used “we were walking from one bar to the next” she said “we must have been desperate for a wee and obviously didn’t have any toilet roll”. She went on to say that using two or three pages from her passport was a stupid idea and that she had not considered the consequences. The 28 year old hairdresser had been planning to spend a month in Thailand before spending a year in Australia.
