Campaign to stop smoking in Koh Samui

The Samui Tessebaan has had a second meeting as part of a campaign to stop people smoking in public areas. The Mayor of Koh Samui would like to encourage everybody in Samui, both businesses and members of the community get involved in the campaign. He hopes to stop smoking in public areas, on song-taws and in places of work. He will be issuing certificates to companies that do not allow their employees to smoke on the premises and a car will be driving around the island with a loud speaker encouraging people not to smoke as part of his campaign.
