Cara Delevingne was left red faced but saw the funny side of leaving her red knickers on a boat following picturesque cruise in Thailand

Willowy model Cara Delevingne is currently enjoying a break in South East Asia with close friend Michelle Rodriguez, but the sunshine appeared to go to her head following a picturesque boat trip when she alighted without her underwear. Fortunately for the 21-year-old a well-meaning assistant flagged her by holding the skimpy red knickers aloft – much to her amusement.

Cara, who carried an acoustic guitar as she made her way across the jetty in her bare feet, was doubled over as she burst into fits of laughter before making her way back to retrieve them.

It was hilarious. The man came off the boat and started waving the red pants in the air,’ an onlooker told The Sun On Sunday. ‘Cara realised her mistake and giggled hysterically.’ Wearing blue floral trousers from Jaded London, that set the star back around £50, and a simple grey t-shirt, Cara looked relaxed and serene.

The model is currently taking it easy after a busy round of shows during London Fashion Week – but despite being invited to a string of pre-Oscar parties ahead of the 86th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday evening she opted to spend some down time with Michelle.

Cara has developed a close friendship with the openly bisexual former Lost star, who pals claim wants her to distance herself from close friend Rihanna. ‘Michelle knows Cara has a crush on Rihanna and has asked her not to spend so much time with her, saying it’s unhealthy and disrespectful to her,’ a source told The Sun On Sunday. ‘Michelle has been joining Cara during her work commitments and keeping an eye on her.

‘They are both jealous and possessive types and are living in each other’s pockets. Cara is completely in love and listens to Michelle in all things. She has told her model agency to include her in all plans too.’

The couple will return to Europe for the end of Paris Fashion Week before Michelle returns to the US to continue filming the latest instalment in the Fast & Furious franchise.
