A well-known provincial councillor and property developer was shot and seriously wounded by a lone gunman while he was about to enter his office in Bang Bua Thong district of Nonthaburi province on Wednesday night.
The councillor and property tycoon was identified as Mr Phairoj Sukchan, 51, owner of Bua Thong Property Co.
Police said CCTV footage from his office showed a man wearing a crash helmet walked towards the councillor at about 7 pm while he was about to enter his office.
