Court orders two men held after “outrageous” attack on taxi driver in outer Bangkok area

The Taling Chan court has ordered that two men be detained for a further six days after an attack on a taxi driver and his cab containing his children.
Kritapas Rotlak was brazenly attacked in front of police after going to a concert to pick up his two daughters.
He was involved in a collision with a motorcycle before friends of the motorcyclist attacked him. Then one of the men caused 30,000 baht worth of damage to his cab, it was alleged.
The terrified children were in the cab at the time.
Yesterday Bang Sao Thong cops took Thanakorn Phirom, 23, and Natthawut Rampheungkij, 20 to court. They are both charged with assault endangering life. Thanakorn is also charged with criminal damage.
Both were ordered detained until the 26th for further evidence gathering after the police told the court that the attack was brazen and outrageous.
The suspects deny it all.
Sanook reported that the attack occurred in Phuttamonthon on Sunday and also involved the assault of the female children of the taxi driver.
Relatives had arrived with cash to bail the men but the court denied their request, added Sanook.
