Dead pink dolphin washed ashore on Sichon beach in Nakhon Si Thammarat

A pink dolphin was found dead on shore in Sichon district of Nakhon Si Thammarat yesterday morning.
Sichon rescue team said the carcass of a 50-kilo weight and two metres long pink dolphin was washed ashore at Bang Por beach in Tambon Thungsai of Sichon yesterday.
The dolphin was said to have died in the sea over six days ago and washed ashore as its body was decomposed.
Officials from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources in Songkhla were investigating the cause of death of the pink dolphin which is a rare albino breed with stunning pink hue.
In Thailand, the pink dolphins are found only in the sea of Khanom and Sichon districts in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
