DEDE holds ‘Samui Low Carbon Week’

The Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) has prepared ‘Samui Low Carbon Week’ at Samui Palm Beach Resort, Koh Samui, Surat Thani Province to be staged during 19th-21st September 2014.
The event is being held in order to promote renewable energy use and energy conservation in local tourism especially hotel businesses, to reduce the use of fossil fuels and avoid greenhouse gas emissions to develop green tourism on Koh Samui and improve the quality of life.
The activities will consist of an exhibition, ‘Renewable technology use and energy conservation for the Koh Samui tourism promotion seminar’, with education booths, introductions to technology, investment information, energy seminars and the sharing of business experience.
