Dj Josh Ezell has been tragically killed in Phuket

DJ Ezell from San Francisco first came to Thailand in 2001 and in 2002 worked as the Head Resident DJ and Entertainment Director at the Bed Supper club in Bangkok. While there he was commissioned to organize and DJ at the ACA World Sound Festival in Mexico where he worked alongside Moby, Carl Coz, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles and Jazzanova. Last year he left Bangkok and worked at the Surin Beach Diamond Beach club in Phuket.
Mr. Ezell was involved in a crash near the Kokmoo curve and The Valley in the Srisoonthorn district when his motorbike collided with a tour bus driven by Isara Lalamkon, 47. The bus was driving from Cherng Talay on its way to pick up a group of Chinese tourists at Koh Siray. Both vehicles were travelling in the same direction. Mr Isara was taken to the Thalang Police Station to be questioned about the crash. He said that he encountered a foreigner riding his bike very fast, when he passed the man on the cure he lost control of the bike and fell.
42 year old Ezell’s body was recovered next to the motorbike rescue workers said. Earlier in the day he had announced on his Facebook page that he was going to retire from his career as a DJ, he is the second DJ to die in a motorbike crash in the last two months; DJ Doris Paul Norris lost his life on January 12th
