Don Mueang Airport gears up for Chinese New Year

Don Mueang Airport is expecting a large number of tourists during the upcoming Chinese New Year which will be celebrated in February.
According to Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), Pier 5 and South Corridor of Don Mueang Airport which are now under renovation will be open for service at the end of this month (January). When finished, the airport’s capacity will increase from 18.5 million to 30 million passengers a year.
The completion schedule is ahead of the upcoming Chinese New Year which will be celebrated between February 3rd and February 15th. The AOT expects up to 40,000 passengers during the celebration.
In order to further enhance its services, Don Mueang Airport is also renovating its facility whereas Terminal 2 is scheduled to be fully open for service on March 8th which marks the airport’s 102nd anniversary.
