Drunk dustman kills teacher as two vehicles end up in ditch in Isaan

Daily News reported that a dustman (refuse collector) was incoherent after he drove his dustcart drunk and into a vehicle driven by a teacher in Chaiyaphum.

Both the dustcart and the Toyota ended up in an irrigation canal.
Panjaporn, 22, a teacher helping with secondary education at a school was driving the Toyota and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger Orn-Anong, 21, was seriously injured.
Prayong, 58, the driver of the dustcart suffered a head wound.
He said he had come out of the downtown area and was going to get gas. He admitted that he had been drinking.
He said he lost control of his vehicle and smashed into the oncoming car before they all ended up in the canal.
Daily News described him as a “gabbling chauffeur” in their headline.
Pol Capt Chaiyaporn of the Muang Chaiyaphum police said the dustman appeared to be drunk.
He was escorted to hospital in custody. He would be checked there for intoxication.
